Die Netzwerke schülerVZ, studiVZ und meinVZ eröffnen ab sofort allen staatlich anerkannten Religionsgemeinschaften die Möglichkeit, ein eigenes Edelprofil zu errichten. Den Auftakt macht das Profil “Evangelisch im VZ“, dessen Inhalte von der Evangelisches Medienhaus GmbH und dem Evangelischen Jugendwerk in Württemberg gestaltet werden. Markus Berger-de León, CEO VZnet-Netzwerke in einer Pressemitteilung: “Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir die evangelische Kirche bei uns begrüßen dürfen … Das Gleiche bieten wir ab sofort auch anderen Religionsgemeinschaften an, die in Deutschland staatlich anerkannt sind.” Beängstigend…
Somit öffnet SchülerVZ nun zahlreichen Kirchen und Glaubensgemeinschaften offiziell Tür und Tor, im “größten Jugendnetzwerk Europas” frischen Nachwuchs zu rekrutieren. Es ist zwangsläufig damit zu rechnen, dass nach Protestanten und Katholiken auch diverse Freikirchen, Neuapostolen, Russisch-Orthodoxe, Adventisten oder Jehovas Zeugen auf SchülerVZ zu finden sein werden, um dort eifrig neue Mitglieder zu werben. Was wohl als Geste gegenüber den großen Kirchen gedacht war, könnte sich nun schnell als Eintrittskarte für viele Glaubensgruppen entpuppen.
Diese Entscheidung könnte sich für VZnet-Netzwerke jedoch als fatal herausstellen. Viele Anbieter von Kinderschutz-Software für Internetanwendungen ermöglichen, unter anderem den Zugriff auf Seiten mit religiösen oder okkulten Inhalten zu sperren. Sollten nun vermehrt Glaubensgemeinschaften im SchülerVZ um Nachwuchs buhlen, fände sich das Netzwerk sicher schnell auf den Sperrlisten der Internetfilter.
P.S.: Wie Michel in seinem mehrblog treffend bemerkt, verstößt SchülerVZ mit dieser Maßnahme sogar gegen die eigenen Statuten. So heißt es im sogenannten Werbekodex:
